I was actually trying to apply some of my still life learns to this, also inspired by portraits my teacher has been doing for his own coursework (he's working on a master's)

I really didn't accomplish what I wanted on the hands, and redrawing and redrawing them in pchat grew way too tedious, so they shall be left as is

Really nice shading, Calm. What were you trying to accomplish with the hands?

Also, what made you decide to do the whole thing in a shade of red? It's a cool effect.

to make them look a little more believable.

I mentioned those portraits in the artist comments, they're done on brown toned paper in red pencil. this is...not red on brown tone...because that't just how it turned out \O_o/
